This XKSS won the Macau GP twice, once in 1959 driven by Ron Hardwick and in 1960 when it was driven by my Father Martin Redfern. Dearly love to see the car again in the flesh.

My father Ron Hardwick purchased the 757 for the Macau Grand Prix. Does anyone know it's whereabouts now. Thanks. Matt

This picture shows my Mum standing besides a white XK-SS back in the early 60s in Hong Kong (so one of the 16 came to HK), not ours though...
I wonder if it's the same car?

I suspect it is the same car, only one in HK as far as I know. Are you related to LC Kwan? Did your Mum or Dad have anything to do with Gillman Motors?
It looks like an Aston Martin in the left background which Dad owned and possibly a Triumph Spitfire in the right background, coupe though which I'm not sure was an option at that time.
David.

XKSS757.
Entered, and won the first Macau GP registered on the international FIA calendar in 1960 driven by my father, Martin Redfern.
Probably the first international win for an XKSS.

Hi David,
According to my mum, she went to visit her relatives in Kowloon Tong back in the early 1960s where she took the picture.
She told me her relative is very keen on sports car...I think he's most likely to be LC Kwan.

Hi
many years later I reply. Thanks for the photo. My parents lived in Kowloon Tong. This was the XKSS my father owned. I think the car is in the background was a Simca which was a car they had too. I’ll show it to her.

So as we sit here today, this car hasn't been seen since 1998 and its whereabouts are unknown, right? I heard there was a Japanese car collector who may have it. Any scuttlebutt any of you might have heard?
