My father, Charles E. Brown of Monroe, Louisiana owned this vehicle from some tme in the mid 1950's until I believe the late 1960's. It sat in our garage the late 50's until the late 60's at which time he and I put it back into running condition and donated it to a museum in Texas. After all the years of sitting, all we had to do was break the engine free, overhaul the 3 Weber carburetors and get the distributor working. We drove it around the block a few times but as it still had the original tires (dry Rotted) we thought it best to park it until the museum came for it.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
