I actually rode in this car cica 1958 whilst it was owned and driven by Bruce Ropner, My late father maintained this car as he was employed by Ropners as their fleet Mechanic. this was the last C type built, It was raced at Thornaby, Rufforth and the original Croft Autodrome as well as other circuits. We have an event in Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy in May 2017, and if possible we hope to commemorate the attendance at the 1954 Beveridge Park car and motorcycle meeting when the famous Le Mans 24 hour winning 'Ecurie Ecosse' Jaguar 'D Type' was present and circulated as Roads Open car.
If LFS 671 is in Scotland, we'd love to see it back again on display for the day.

A re-registration to a December 1956 Liverpool number ending in 9 makes me think that Gillie Tyrer (Litherland Motors) took this back in part exchange against D Type TKF9 - XKD517. Any thoughts?
