We have an event in Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy in May 2017, and if possible we hope to commemorate the attendance at the 1954 Beveridge Park car and motorcycle meeting when the famous Le Mans 24 hour winning 'Ecurie Ecosse' Jaguar 'D Type' was present and circulated as Roads Open car.
If LFS 671 is in Scotland, we'd love to see it back again on display for the day.

A re-registration to a December 1956 Liverpool number ending in 9 makes me think that Gillie Tyrer (Litherland Motors) took this back in part exchange against D Type TKF9 - XKD517. Any thoughts?

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
