PUR 120 photographed in July 2009 at the Harpenden Classics on the Common event. A real shame that such an important car was not placed more centrally. The owner is obviously a very modest person. A beautiful C type!

Beutiful and important indeed - however, Classics on teh Common is very, very informal with no plan for the parking at all. So it was just lined up qwith everything else when it arrived.

I spotted XKC043 at this year's Goodwood Revival, driving away from the car park on Thursday 10th September 2016 after the Driver's cricket match on Lord March's oval. What a privilege to see such a historic car just being used and enjoyed quietly, without ostentation...wonderful!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
